The Benjamin William Mkapa HIV/AIDS Foundation organizational structure was first developed in 2006 during the inception of the Foundation when it was implementing its first initiative namely the Mkapa Fellows Programme. A revised organizational structure was approved by the Board of Directors in 2008 to enable the institution effectively deliver its defined strategic goals and mission. The revision takes into consideration the changing external and internal environment. It is flexible and enhances effective linkage and cross fertilization between the technical and support services.
