has supported Micheweni and Kilolo District Councils with
two vehicles to scale up fight against HIV/AIDS pandemic in

The President and CEO of Intra-health International,
Mr. Pape A. Gaye (2nd Left) discussing a point with the BMAF
CEO, Dr Ellen Mkondya-Senkoro (Middle) during his recent visit
to the BMAF offices. Others are Dr William G. Nyangwa, the
Chief of Party for Capacity Project (Tanzania), Dr Adeline
Saguti, BMAF Project Manager (1st Right) and Rahel Sheiza
(3rd Right), the Human Resource Officer for BMAF. BMAF is
looking into the possibility of collaboration with Intra-health
International in the areas of Advocacy and Documentation,
Leadership and Human Resource Management, and Worksafety

hard to reach districts of rural Tanzania are making tremendous
strides in improving health service delivery in their various

The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Deogratius Mtasiwa, who is
also the chairman of BMAF Board of Directors, has hailed former
President Benjamin William Mkapa(BMAF Settler) for accepting
the idea to establish the Benjamin William Mkapa HIV/AIDS
Foundation and Mkapa Fellows Programme. He also thanked the
Norwegian government and Clinton Foundation for their financial
